Bush's Appointees: Appointed By God!

I came across this clip of Bill Maher expounding on the large number of Regent University Law School graduates holding important posts in the B**h administration. It's still timely and very pertinent: Obama appointees have knowledge and experience on their side - besides God.

Bush's Cronies, Crimes, Choices vs. Barack Obama's Appointments

With every new appointment, Barack Obama seems to be scoring - big time. Why? Because very few of the appointees directly dealt with Obama before the election, because most of the appointees have direct experience and correlations to the offices selected, because of the diversity of Obama's choices and, well, because of the glaring lack of Skull and Bones people. Yes, there are some Chicago choices, but nothing on par with the choices B**h made before he became President in 2001. The Right Wingnuts are scrutinizing every appointment - and trying to detract from every one. They'll even denigrate the latest:

CBS/AP) President-elect Barack Obama has chosen retired Gen. Eric K. Shinseki to be the next Veterans Affairs secretary, turning to a former Army chief of staff once vilified by the Bush administration for questioning its Iraq war strategy. Mr. Obama will announce the selection of Shinseki, the first Army four-star general of Japanese-American ancestry, at a news conference Sunday in Chicago. He will be the first Asian-American to hold the post of Veterans Affairs secretary, adding to the growing diversity of Mr. Obama's cabinet.
Shinseki was also the bane of Donald Runsfeld and, when criticizing the small amount of troops Rumsfeld said was be needed after the war to stabilize the Iraqi nation, was fired. Shineki was proved right, of course, becoming the absolute pariah of Republicans everywhere.
"I think that General Shinseki is exactly the right person who is going to be able to make sure that we honor our troops when they come home," Mr. Obama said in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" to be broadcast Sunday.
For a list of supposed "friends of Obama" go to Barackbook.com. Some of it may be true: Joe Biden is (hopefully) a friend of Obama's and Chicago's Mayor Richard Daley would certainly be a friend (if Obama wanted to get anything accomplished in Chicago). Of course, the "close" relationship between Obama and Bill Ayres is chronicled in detail, but only seems to accentuate that they served on similar boards and Ayres' present interests don't qualify as "terrorism". For a good chronicle of B**h's crony appointments as well as his lies and deceptions, go to Sourcewatch, a wikipedia-like site that helps you get to the sources of today's journalism.

It will be interesting to draw a comparison list, appointee to appointee 2001 compared to 2008. Wanna bet that B**h's appointee's have several things in common: B**h and ineptitude.
